Tellus 360 is located at 24 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA, one block from Penn Square. Parking is available in the Penn Square parking garage right of Tellus.
This event will be held in the Tig Caleb room, second floor. An intimate bar setting with unique features, like hanging lamps fashioned from reclaimed air-raid sirens, a full bar fashioned from reclaimed wood, and a large whiskey selection.
Tenor Vincent Festa continues to establish himself on concert and opera stages alike. Various operatic roles include Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Peter Quint in Turn of the Screw, Ernesto in Don Pasquale, King Ouf in Létoile as well as Brighella and Tanzmeister in Ariadne auf Naxos. Recent concert work includes Nicolas in Britten’s cantata Saint Nicolas, tenor soloist in St. John Passion and the Liebeslieder-Walzer of Brahms. Mr. Festa was a studio artist with the Chautauqua Opera Company in 2016 and a 2014 Vocal Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center where he made his Boston Symphony Orchestra debut in Bernstein’s Candide as Charles Edward. A native New Yorker, Mr. Festa recently completed a performance diploma at Indiana University and is an alumnus of the Juilliard School and the Graduate Vocal Arts Program at Bard College Conservatory under the direction of Dawn Upshaw. Tenor Nicholas Simpson “possesses a voice that is flexible, but powerful…he literally stunned the public with his technical and expressive capability” and has been praised by Opera News for his performances which “immediately seized attention with his full-bodied, brightly projected voice.” Nicholas is a veteran Don José in Carmen, having sung it with Spotlight on Opera, the Maryland Symphony, Magic City Opera in Miami, and all over the world on the Azamara Quest, singing the role in Italy, France, Spain, Jordan, Egypt, India, Australia and New Zealand. Nicholas has also recently been seen as King Charles II in The Prince of Players, with the Little Opera Theatre of New York, as Giovanni in La hija de Rappaccini with Alamo City Opera, as Tannhäuser with Apotheosis Opera, as the Kronprinz in Silent Night with Fort Worth Opera, and a critically acclaimed performance as Paul in Korngold’s Die Tote Stadt with Cleveland Opera. Nicholas has also performed professionally in musical theater and is a member of the crossover quartet Prosecco.
Zachary Smith is a pianist/music director in the Lancaster area. He has provided musical direction for 18 shows, mostly at the Ephrata Performing Arts Center including Ragtime, West Side Story and Sweeney Todd. He was the music counselor for EPAC Summer Theater camps for three years. He accompanies piano for Locust Grove United Church of Christ in York. He received his MS and BA in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University in 2020 and has an interest in studying the link between Mental Health and Music as well as Piano Pedagogical Techniques for students with Mental Health Disorders, especially ADHD, Autism, Depression and Anxiety.
